Baby Shower Drinks

Both the parents, especially the expecting mother, anxiously wait for the baby shower to arrive, so they can enjoy the joy of welcoming their baby with friends and family members. Numerous things need to be taken care of while organizing a baby shower and this includes the scrumptious cake, food items, party favors, decorations and drinks.

Baby shower drinks are a vital part of any baby shower and yours must have delicious drinks as well. Both the expecting mother and her guests would need a refreshing drink to freshen them up and keep their interest alive in the party.

What to Consider When Serving Baby Shower Drinks

Planning what to serve the guests and the expecting mother on her baby shower isn’t a straightforward task as pregnant women aren’t allowed to drink alcohol and can only consume a limited quantity of caffeine. Since most of the cocktails and beverages normally served on parties are comprised of alcohol and caffeine, it is better to avoid them. Pregnant ladies normally suffer from mood swings quite often and there’s a good chance that the mom-to-be might become agitated seeing everyone but her enjoy her favorite drinks.

You could offer some simple but delicious non-alcoholic drinks such as lemonade, juices of different kinds, fruit punch, water and iced tea. If you are deciding to throw a cocktail shower, you could think about using mocktails as the baby shower drinks. Make sure to serve these drinks in beautiful cocktail glasses or tumblers, garnish them and serve fruits to complement the drinks, so the guests don’t miss alcohol that much.
